No Barefoot Walking

During your injury recovery it is essential to use your brace immobilization or supportive shoe and orthotic therapy at all times while standing and walking. Whether you are treating a soft tissue or bone injury any use of barefoot, stocking feet, slippers, flip-flops, sport sandals will not provide the support your foot and ankle requires to continue the healing process. After your full recovery you may be able to wear any shoe ware without limitation, but in the meantime when you get out of bed first thing in the morning, get your shoes and orthotics on.
