Biomechanical implications of hammertoe deformities.
Abstract
A discussion of hammertoe, mallet toe, and clawtoe has been presented. Their relationship to the various pathomechanic structural deformities has also been discussed. The practitioner must consider the biomechanics of foot function whenever surgery is planned.
